Call from the Coach's Box:

• 10/1/12: The time is rapidly approaching for Parent/Teacher Conferences.  In the next few days letters will be sent home with the available times.  If at any time you need to change your scheduled time please e-mail me at wsquires@washoeschools.net with secondary times that fit your schedule.
• End of September: The first five weeks have gone by and we are crusing into October.  There are a lot of things to get done within the next few months and I hope to have everyone on the same page.
• 9/28/12: Today there were a number of flyers sent home.  The first is a flyer/entry form for Run For Education.  This is a Fun-Run/Competitive 5K Run that supports WCSD and the Health/Wellness Programs within the district.  The second is a Golden-rod colored form that is needed for P.E.  Every student must have this form signed if they are to participate in P.E. anywhere off of school grounds (ie. Para Park).  The last major flyer was for the "Whale Walk - National Walk to School Day."  On 10/3/12, the District Superintendent will be joining the Whitehead students and staff to promote Safe Schools and Safe Communities.  I hope to see all of you and your students out at Para Park, on the morning of October 3rd at 8:15AM, to show our neverending commitment to keeping our schools and communities safe.
